Hello recently purchased inventor student version and to my understanding it is a complete version the problem is that the content center is not accessable , the componants are there highlighted in red but access is not available , can you please advise on what the solution might. They are the same in every way except for the licensing which only lasts for three years.

Sounds like either the Content Center Libraries were not selected during the installation process but without looking at the picture it's tough to trouble shoot. Did you have Administrative Rights when you installed the software and followed the installation procedure and requirements. Off the top of my head, the first thing to check is your active project file. Open the project file and click the Configure Libraries button. Make sure there is a check mark under the In Use column next to the libraries you want access to.
